POP3 (Post Office Protocol 3)

POP3 is a protocol used by client email software to receive mail from the mail server. POP3 is supported by all contemporary email clients, such as Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc. POP3 is a protocol for mail retrieval, whereas emails are stored on the user’s PC.
