PHP is a popular language for dynamic website development. Rasmus Lerdorf, the original developer, called it, Personal Home Page Tools. Initially, it was used to track visitors to his personal website. The PHP name is also derived from this language that later became PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP is embedded into HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) as the basic language for website development. Interactive and dynamic websites may be developed by means of PHP. Results of which in other languages would be achieved by means of hundreds lines of code may be achieved by means of only several lines of code.
