To add a new domain (parked, subdomain, or addon) in cPanel, open Domains and select Create A New Domain.
While entering the domain in the field, you’ll be able to determine its type.
Start by filling in the domain/subdomain name.
Subdomain
After entering just the subdomain name and placing a “dot,” cPanel will show you a suggestion with possible domains to finish it.
When choosing a subdomain, the “Share document root…” option will automatically deactivate, and a new option will appear below to change its directory.
Parked Domain
After entering the domain, leave the “Share document root…” checkbox activated and save the changes.
Addon Domain
After entering the domain, deactivate the “Share document root…” checkbox.
Additional options for configuration will be displayed.
You can change the directory for the addon domain and the system subdomain, which is created automatically (in the form domain.com.mysite.com).
It is recommended to have the addon domain’s directory located in the main home directory of the hosting account.
If the domain is in Cyrillic, enter its XN record.
- If the domain was purchased through SuperHosting.BG, you can find its XN record in the client profile » Domains.
- You can also use an online tool to check the XN record.
